The least the Oracle DBA should know about cloud technology
The world is buzzing with keywords and there doesn't seem to be a day when "the cloud" is not hailed to solve all of IT's problems. Whether or not that is true is not subject of this talk. What is, however, is an introduction to cloud technology used by the cool kids. If you haven't dealt with "the cloud" you may not be familiar with the toolset and/or mindset used. Infrastructure becomes code, almost anything can be stored in git. Applications are moved into containers, and the likes of Docker Swarm and more importantly k8s (Kubernetes) are used for orchestration. How many network overlays do you know? Flannel, calico, and others want to be understood, at least to a small degree. A lot of things in IT move quickly and the acceleration seems relentless. Time for the Oracle DBA to understand what's out there. Nothing is more valuable than an informed opinion, and that's what this talk is about: helping you to form your own opinionDer Vortrag findet am Dienstag, den 15. Mai 2018 um 11:15 Uhr statt.
Der Referent ist Martin Bach, Accenture Enkitec Group , ORACLE ACE Director
