RAC SIG Webcast: Oracle Exadata Overview Mini-Lesson

On Thursday, June 18th, 9am PST, it will be a webcast about ORACLE Exadata Overview:

This Oracle University Mini-lesson introduces the Exadata Storage Server and the Database machine used with ASM and is meant for DBAs and storage administrators. It describes the Exadata Storage Server architecture, then an overview of configuration and monitoring, administration and the performance benfits of the offload processing of filters and projections in a data warehouse environment. It covers management of the Exadata cells using the "cellcli", "dcli" and "adrci" tools, the configuration of RAC nodes for Exadata access and the use of Exadata Grid Disks as ASM disks. Some hands on demos of the Exadata Cell and of a Database machine node will follow the presentation.
