Major database maintenance (and upgrades) without downtime. Myth or reality?

Myth: Major database upgrades and other pervasive maintenance tasks require hours of downtime. Reality: they will take the time of an (Active) Data Guard switchover. How? Oracle 12c introduced DBMS_ROLLING a few years ago. It is a bullet-proof solution, perfected over the years, that allows executing hours of maintenance on a "transient" logical standby while the primary database keeps receiving application workload. But... Is it always working? Are there known limitations? Do you want to know more? This session is for you!
